A sawmill on the north side of the Racquette
River below the falls in South Colton was remodeled into a power house by
Harry Furman. It provided that village with lights. |

A transmission line was built from Higley
Falls to the Wayne Lumber Co. Mill on the "Plains", south of
South Colton.
The first electric sawmill was put into operation by P.X.
"Puffer" Blake on what formerly was a part of the Lyman lot in
Colton Village. |

The first radio was installed. |

The cement highway from Colton to Tupper Lake
was started.
Sunday Rock Association organized to "Save the Rock". |
