work, the Colton Water-Sewer District was in operation. Spring flooding in
South Colton was a problem. |

A Base Radio for individual communication was
installed at the Fire Station of Company #2, South Colton. |

Federal Revenue Sharing money was made
available for the Colton Health Center, staffed by a Physician's Assistant
consulting with Physician's from the Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg. |
| 1974 |
Construction was completed on the new Colton
Town Office Building. |
| 1975 |
The long condemned Town Hall was razed. The
site, with its old foundation on the river was prepared for landscaping
and institution of a park. |
| 1976 |
Capsule buried at Sunday Rock park (to be
opened every 25 years, with 54 items). |
| 1978 |
Neighborhood Center started. |

Cable TV approved for Colton. |
