The Town of Colton is a small community nestled gently within the foothills of the Northern Adirondack Mountains

Colton has garnered its livelihood from the great resource of the Racquette River and from the vast timber available from the Adirondack Mountains.

From its earliest beginnings, 1776 to the present, Colton has remained quaint and serene.  Its citizens and visitors occupy their time enjoying the small town atmosphere, reveling in the region's past and looking forward to things to come.
