Public Notices are

New Transfer Station
Hours - Beginning January 1,
2012, the Transfer Station will be open 8:00AM to
5:00PM on Saturday
only until April 30, 2012, then 8:00AM to
5:00PM on Wednesday and Saturday from May 1st. to
October 31st.

| Fluorescent Bulbs
- Due to contaminates inside fluorescent bulbs, they
will not be accepted at the Transfer Station until
further notice.

Wood Refuse -
As of July 23, 2011, the Transfer Station will no
longer accept wood (lumber, timbers, etc.) for
disposal. Tree limbs, stumps, leaves and other
tree refuse are still being accepted.

Annual Financial Report NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that
the Annual Financial Report for the Town of Colton,
County of St. Lawrence and State of New York for the
fiscal year ending December 31, 2011 has been filed
with the State Comptroller’s Office. A copy
of the financial report is on file in the Town
Clerk’s Office and is available for viewing

| HELP WANTED TOWN
OF COLTON The Town of Colton Department of Public
Works has an opening for a full-time position.
Applications may be picked up from 9:00 AM to 4:00
PM, Monday through Friday, at the Colton Town Hall,
94 Main Street, Colton, NY 13625. Applications will
be accepted until 4:00 PM on Wednesday, February 29,
2012. Requirements are a valid driver’s
license, and within 2 years applicant will have to

District will hold its 2012 regular meetings at 6:30
p.m. at the Colton Fire Station, 80 Riverside Drive,
Colton, NY on the following dates: January 5
February 9 March 8 April 12 May 10 June 14 September
13 October 11 November 8 December 13 No meetings are
currently scheduled for July and August. All

Project is located: in COLTON in ST LAWRENCE COUNTY
Project Description: Install a new two lane bridge
to carry NYS Route 56 over the class C(T) stream
Cold Brook. Add approximately 446 linear feet of
stone rip rap erosion protection to the stream bank.
Add approximately 31 cubic yards of stone fill for
scour protection. There will be some temporary
impact to Federal Wetlands due to construction and
access. The existing temporary single lane steel
bridge will be removed after construction of the new
bridge. Sediment control measures shall be employed
and properly maintained. Availability of Application
Documents: Filed application documents, and
Department draft permits where applicable, for are
available for inspection during normal business
hours at the address of the contact person. To
ensure timely service at the time of inspection, it
is recommended that an appointment be made with the
contact person. State Environmental Quality Review
(SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action
and will not have a significant impact on the
environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A
coordinated review was performed. SEQR Lead Agency
NYS Dept of Transportation State Historic
Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: Cultural
resource lists and map have been checked. No
registered, eligible, or inventoried archaeological
sites or historic structures were identified at the
project location. No further review in accordance
with SHPA is required. Availability For Public
Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted

01/13/2011 or 15 days after the publication date of
