Remembrance trees
The Holiday Remembrance Tree Project, begun in 2014, seeks to honor loved ones, warm the holidays, and brighten winter nights. The trees, located along Main Street and in Three Falls Park in South Colton, are sponsored by individuals, families and groups. In conjunction with the Colton Historical Society the trees are lighted after Thanksgiving, followed by a reception during which the names of those being remembered are read along with their sponsors. The town leaves the trees lighted through Winterfest in January.
